We are a fast-growing entrepreneurial organization that values quality, creativity, and operational excellence, with a strong commitment to delivering exceptional products and building lasting relationships with our partners Position Summary Island Way Sorbet is seeking an experienced, high-impact East Coast Sales Director to lead sales growth across the Eastern United States. This role will be responsible for expanding distribution, increasing velocity, strengthening broker and distributor partnerships, and growing grocery accounts across the region. The ideal candidate brings deep food and beverage sales experience, strong relationships across the East Coast market, and a proven record of building brands through disciplined execution, account management, and strategic selling. This leader will own regional sales performance, develop go-to-market plans, and work cross-functionally with marketing, operations, supply chain, and finance to deliver profitable growth. Key Responsibilities * Lead sales strategy and execution for the East Coast region to achieve revenue, distribution, and profitability goals. * Build and grow relationships with key customers, distributors, brokers, and channel partners across the grocery channel. * Identify and close new business opportunities with regional chains, strategic independents, distributors, and emerging channel partners. * Manage and optimize broker networks, distributor relationships, and account-level execution across the territory. * Develop annual business plans, customer growth strategies, pricing recommendations, promotional calendars, and sales forecasts. * Drive new item placement, distribution gains, shelf presence, and promotional effectiveness across assigned markets. * Partner with internal teams to align sales plans with brand priorities, inventory realities, and operational capabilities. * Track performance using CRM and sales analytics tools; maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting, and activity reporting. * Analyze shipment, scan, and market data to identify whitespace, improve sales productivity, and prioritize opportunities. * Represent Island Way Sorbet at customer meetings, industry events, trade shows, and distributor reviews. * Travel throughout the East Coast region to support customers, brokers, distributors, and field execution.   Qualifications * 7–10+ years of progressive sales experience in food, beverage, frozen, or broader CPG. * Demonstrated success growing sales through distributors, brokers, and direct customer relationships. * Strong knowledge of East Coast retail and/or foodservice channels, including regional chains and distributor networks. * Experience with account planning, pricing strategy, promotional planning, trade spend management, and forecasting. * Proven ability to open new accounts and expand existing business. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. * Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment. Preferred Experience * Experience in frozen novelties, frozen desserts, or frozen foods. * Existing relationships with East Coast grocery buyers. * Experience managing brokers and distributor partners in a regional or national role. * Familiarity with syndicated data, retail execution metrics, and trade promotion management. Travel * Approximately 40%–60% travel across the East Coast, depending on account concentration and seasonal priorities.
