Description The Sales Director is responsible for leadership of Company’s activities related to sales within an assigned geographic region. Responsible for the growth and profitability within the assigned region, including achieving revenue targets, maximizing profitability, increasing market share, and building and maintaining customer loyalty, adherence to all company policies, and cooperation and collaboration with functional leadership team. Job Duties: Responsible for oversight of sales and sales support staff as well as direct account management for larger customers. Responsible for customer relationship and business development. Must drive revenue and gross margin improvement in all facets of the business – equipment sales, installation and service. Works closely with other functional areas to ensure an aligned approach, to ensure customer satisfaction and business objectives are achieved. Work with supplier partners to develop sales offerings and resolve issues. Participates in specific sales initiatives and major account activities as needed, but always maintaining touch with customer base. Responsible for budgeting of sales activities. Must work as a team player with entire sales team as well as other functional areas. Must have good working knowledge of ERP system as well as vendor order systems. Responsible for recruiting and developing sales talent within the organization. Must be knowledgeable of product offering. Reviews and approves quotes/projects for sales team to ensure accuracy and profitability. Develop and execute a market plan to drive market share growth, and to identify and target specific new customers. Identify resources needed to promote market growth and build business case to support the strategy. Work with company functional leadership to develop and achieve overall company objectives and strategic vision. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. The preceding responsibilities encompass the general requirements of the position and may not be all inclusive of a position’s requirements. Ensure accounts receivables are addressed by staff and are responded to efficiently and timely Requirements Bachelor’s Degree required. Technical or business discipline preferred. Strategic business mindset. Ability to travel as needed. Must have minimum of 5+ years' experience in petroleum equipment industry. Sales & sales management experience desired. Strong customer relations skills needed. Strong organizational, interpersonal, communication and leadership skills. Computer proficiency in MS Office and proven ability within an ERP environment. Strong problem solving and creative skills and the ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
