Job Description As the National Sales Manager, you will lead our commercial sales efforts across Australia and New Zealand across all segments from our head office in Rydalmere. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will develop and execute strategic sales plans, manage key accounts, and drive revenue growth throughout the ANZ region. This role demands a deep understanding of the commercial lighting industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of achieving sales targets as you will be managing a very lucrative product portfolio. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage relationships with Sales Managers and other stakeholders across Australia and New Zealand. Oversee sales operations, focusing on lighting engagements and market expansion. Develop and execute sales strategies to meet company targets and drive business development. Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and identify growth opportunities. Ability to travel interstate frequently with occasional overseas travel is essential Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to align sales strategies with business objectives. Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve high performance, setting clear goals and KPIs. Ensure effective CRM management and conduct regular performance reviews. Foster a collaborative team environment, ensuring communication between regional managers and departments. Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high customer satisfaction and loyalty. Manage the sales budget, monitor performance, and ensure cost-effective operations. Collaborate with product development to align sales strategies with offerings. Analyse sales data to inform decisions and drive improvements. Identify and secure new business opportunities, manage contracts, and oversee major tenders. Prepare sales reports for leadership and forecast major project targets. Support team training and development in product knowledge and selling skills. Coordinate design resources with the National Design & Applications Manager. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in a management role, ideally within the lighting or electronics industry Extensive knowledge of lighting standards and practices Proficiency in P&L management, strategic planning, S&OP and cross-functional capabilities Full working rights in Australia Desirable Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field. Professional certifications in sales, business development, or project management (e.g., Certified Sales Professional (CSP), Project Management Professional (PMP)) Skills & Knowledge Proven ability to lead and manage 4 or more direct reports. Strong leadership skills to motivate and develop team members. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues Innovative thinking to improve sales operations and delivering business needs. Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams, including Project Management, Solutions Engineering, Quality Systems & Compliance, and other cross-functional teams In-depth understanding of the Australian & NZ market, including key players and trends. Ability to align production activities with project goals and timelines. Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies Ability to adapt to changing market demands and priorities Ability to analyse market trends and data to inform business strategies.
