    At 8x8, Sales Engineers are vital technical sales resources with strong technical knowledge, industry experience, and proven sales acumen.
    We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer who is crucial in building and maintaining strong relationships with our prospects and customers, providing technical expertise, and presenting the value proposition of 8x8 solutions. The SE must be able to articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical audiences by identifying technical issues of assigned accounts/opportunities to ensure complete customer satisfaction through all stages of the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Will be supporting primarily the UK public sector sales team but this may change based on sales/business need.
  • Conduct technical presentations and demonstrations to showcase the value and capabilities of our products.
  • Provide industry, technical, and product knowledge to 8x8 partners and customers.
  • Develop and maintain an expert understanding of all 8x8 applications and products.
  • Assist in developing technical proposals and RFP responses to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop advanced system configurations to provide a customized demo experience.
  • Work with internal teams to provide feedback on product enhancements and feature requests based on partner input.
  • Document actions and follow-ups as per Sales Engineering best practices identified by the SE management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and competitive landscape to effectively position our solutions.
  • Represent 8x8 at conferences, industry, and sales events if and when requested.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a sales engineering or technical consulting role, preferably in the cloud communications or customer engagement industry (CCaaS, CPaaS, CX).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills focused on needs analysis, positioning, business justification, and closing techniques.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% - 20% of the time within the region to accommodate partner events, meetups, and/or customer engagements.
