Description

Advanced Manufacturing Technology is a growing Loveland manufacturer who specializes in the design, installation, and start-up of electrical/mechanical system machinery in the packaging industry. AMT is seeking a Sales Engineer to join our dynamic, team-oriented sales department. This will be a full-time direct hire position with a full benefit package.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or similar work experience
Autocad, Solidworks or similar CAD software proficiency

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Mechanically inclined - Engineering and manufacturing interests
  • Must be customer service oriented with strong technical communication skills – verbal and written
  • Recommended computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, deadline-oriented office
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent projects and adapt quickly to time sensitive priorities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask and be a self-starter

    Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

Perform sales proposal activities with a focus on efficiently generating proposals for custom engineered conveying and packaging solutions.

Responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Prepare proposals and cost estimates based upon customer inquiries and company standards
  • Review and edit Solid Works and AutoCAD drawings to define scope of project or highlight equipment details
  • Reads, evaluates and interprets project specifications and drawings to determine a project’s requirements and prepares a proposal meeting those requirements
  • Request additional documentation or clarification from customer as needed to minimize company risk and provide accurate cost estimates
  • Analyze costs from previous similar projects and utilize findings to recommend prices
  • Consult with sales management and operations department to determine cost and feasibility of proposed product modifications
  • Create or modify excel templates to implement new and updated product costs
  • Participate in conference calls with customer, management, engineering and other stakeholders
  • Work under direction of sales management to prioritize order of assignments
  • Generate sales through direct communication with customers and coordination with internal resources
  • Develop business relationships with customers to generate sales growth
  • Assist with customer requests to resolve problems or address customer needs
  • Support and recommend process automation procedures
  • Support sales department marketing initiatives including attending bi-annual trade show
  • Provide ongoing sales forecasts
  • Domestic/International travel to customer location to support proposal process and equipment documentation as necessary
