We are seeking a Sales Engineer to drive growth, forge new partnerships, and position AI Armaments as a leader in the Dutch Defence industry. Do you feel energy and passion for this mission? Then you are the one we are looking for!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As sales engineer you use your technical knowledge to your advantage when you are showing your sales skills. You know how to bridge the knowledge gap between the products offered by AI Armaments and the customers, primarily government entities. It is also advantageous to have previous experience with the defence sector. You will also be part of the business development team, with the goal to expand AI Armaments’ client base. With this team you will attend trade shows and symposiums in order to engage with the clients and to better understand their requirements.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Academic degree (Bachelor’s level) in Engineering, Business, Defence studies or a related field. A relevant Master’s degree, MBA or equivalent is a plus.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in sales engineering, technical sales, or a related field, preferably within the defence or technology sectors.
  • Language: Excellent proficiency in Dutch is essential, proficiency in English to a lesser extent, but still very important.
  • Security: Mandatory Dutch background check (VOG) before signing of contract.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the defence, security, and AI technology sectors. Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, defence contractors, and strategic partners.
  • Business Development: Actively seek out new business opportunities and expand the client base by identifying potential clients and markets.
  • Sales process managements: Manage the entire sales process from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring client satisfaction throughout.
  • Market research: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, active tenders, and customer requirements to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Trade shows and symposiums: Attend industry events to showcase products, network with potential clients, and gather insights on market needs.
  • Teamwork: work closely with the business development team, engineering team, and other internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and product offerings are aligned with market demands.
