As our new Sales Engineer, you will effectively lead, promote and grow the sales of specific Rosemount products and services within nominated customer segments in the QLD/PNG region. Responsibilities

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Proactively build and maintain effective business relationships with nominated customer segments operating within the region. Provide a high level of customer contact via predominately face-to-face as well as phone, email, video, and other digital media.
  • Respond to sales enquiries and generate leads
  • Work with the Sales Support, Customer Care & MANZAT teams to provide product quotations.
  • Follow up on quotations and win orders.
  • Generate new opportunities through customer dialog and demand-creation activities (presentations, coordinated marketing, industry events, social media, etc.)
  • Proactively research and develop business plans to grow sales and services in the nominated customer segment:
  • Conduct analysis and research to gain a full understanding of the customer base and stay on top of any changes to the market, competitors, technology, and the industry in general
  • Develop and implement sales plans for the nominated customers and industries in the region. Review, evaluate, and report on sales activities and initiatives
  • Ensure there is a strong brand awareness within the nominated customer segment through marketing, advertising and demand-creation activities
  • Utilise CRM, Outlook, Toolkit, and other supporting infrastructure and business processes as directed
  • Identify and raise opportunities to sell other Rosemount or Emerson products. Take details and forward to the appropriate Sales team member.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Tertiary qualified in an engineering-related field
  • Sales experience in the process control industry
  • Experience and understanding of sales budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Experience working with business systems (CRM, Office, Oracle, etc.)
  • Understanding the technical aspects of the business and key business drivers
