Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Engineer to join our team. This pivotal role involves delivering robust solutions for our enterprise clients by understanding their complex programs and aligning HireRight’s processes, products, and technology. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to stay updated on the latest releases and work closely with commercial teams to effectively support new and existing clients. This position is crucial in fostering client retention, driving revenue growth, and ensuring seamless onboarding experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct needs analysis for new business, upsells, or process changes for existing clients.
  • Partner with commercial teams to design and deliver tailored solutions for enterprise clients, fostering client retention and driving revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with prospects and clients to identify program challenges, effectively mapping solutions to address their unique needs.
  • Educate customers on best practices, optimization strategies, and product functionality to drive continuous growth and expansion.
  • Conduct business process and gap analyses to measure organizational alignment and optimize client program.
  • Leverage deep knowledge of HireRight’s offerings, including products, technology, and industry best practices, to create customized solutions.
  • Develop and deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and demonstrations to highlight the value of solutions to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with product, engineering, sales, and account management teams.
  • Document client requirements to ensure a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Work with key stakeholders to address client requirements and influence product enhancement roadmaps.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions with project managers and cross-functional teams for seamless client handoff.
  • Support the scalability of the sales engineering practice by contributing to best practices and process improvements.
  • Assess and communicate the short-, mid-, and long-term impacts of client configurations, including metrics, SLAs, and margins.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Business, Engineering, etc.) or substantial equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in services sales/pre-sales, business development, product management, consulting, or related positions.
  • Demonstrated record of success in selling or implementing complex business process solutions.
  • Hands-on experience documenting customer needs and requirements (e.g., proposals, Statements of Work or Product Requirements documents).
  • Strong technical knowledge of screening industry product lines and experience in structuring a customer’s operating environment accordingly.
  • Self-directed leader with strong critical thinking skills and a demonstrated ability to lead complex, strategic initiatives.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex client issues and design comprehensive solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
