MEPPI is seeking a Sales Engineer II for the High Voltage Switchgear Division (HVSD) to manage both the technical and commercial relationships with assigned customers.
This position will report to the HVSD Sales Engineering Section Manager. This position is a hybrid role based in Warrendale, PA.

Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with new and existing partnership customers to build business with MEPPI by working with Company’s region managers, manufacturers’ representatives, etc.
  • Review customer specifications, technical drawings, and commercial terms to develop and prepare the Company’s technical and commercial proposal for products, parts and services. Interface with customers to clarify and negotiate the proposal. Obtain feedback on each bid and close out.
  • Reserve manufacturing capacity for partnership customers and monitor that production schedule dates meet customer expectations.
  • Confirm customer orders are consistent with the Company proposal. Enter orders and turnover to engineering, production, and contract administration. Identify and communicate all contract requirements and commitments.
  • Prepare and distribute monthly customer reports on deliveries, manufacturing slots, and current and anticipated deliveries.
  • Coordinate all customer contact to ensure timely communication, resolution, and escalation of customer’s inquiries or issues by appropriate use of Company resources.
  • Responsible for conducting face-to-face meetings and periodic partnership meetings to discuss technical and commercial items on the Company’s current and new products, design changes of current Company products, field incidents, quality incidents, and modification and repair issues.
  • Develop sales aids and customer presentation material.
  • Calculate the Company’s product, parts and service costs. Recommend prices to support the Company’s margin requirements and reflect market price.
