SALES ENGINEER – METAL ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Are you a tooling expert in the automotive industry looking to leverage your technical background into a sales-driven career? Our client, an industry leader in metal additive manufacturing, is seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to join their growing team. This is a unique opportunity to transition from hands-on tooling experience in die casting, injection molding, or tool design into a role where you’ll help manufacturers unlock the potential of cutting-edge 3D printing technologies to revolutionize their processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong technical background in tooling, die casting, or injection molding within the automotive industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Materials Science, or similar).
  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing technologies (e.g., Direct Energy Deposition, Powder Bed Fusion, or Binder Jetting) is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as Siemens NX, Catia V5, or SolidWorks.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into effective sales strategies.
  • Established network or industry connections within the automotive tooling sector is a strong asset.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%), including international travel for client visits and industry events.
Responsibilities
  • Drive Sales Growth: Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities with manufacturers, OEMs, and tier-one suppliers in the automotive tooling sector.
  • Technical Expertise: Educate clients on how metal additive manufacturing can optimize tooling efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower costs.
  • Custom Solutions: Collaborate with clients to understand technical challenges and design innovative, tailored solutions using advanced additive manufacturing.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Work closely with engineering, production, and R&D teams to ensure client requirements are met with feasible, cutting-edge solutions.
  • Client Support: Deliver exceptional pre- and post-sales support, including troubleshooting and technical consultation.
  • Industry Insight: Stay ahead of market trends, technologies, and competitors in metal additive manufacturing, particularly within automotive tooling applications.
