Job Description Role Overview – Sales Engineer (Oil & Gas, South Region) We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer to drive growth within the Oil & Gas sector across the southern region. This role will play a pivotal part in expanding Rotork’s market presence, fostering strong customer relationships, and delivering consistent sales performance. Key Responsibilities: Manage allocated accounts/territories with direct accountability for sales growth and profitability. Interact closely with Valve OEMs and EPC contractors to generate enquiries, influence specifications, and close orders. Use business development approaches to expand the customer base and potential revenue streams by identifying, engaging, and setting up new customers. Drive business development activities across refineries, EPCs, and Oil & Gas end users, ensuring Rotork remains a preferred partner. Act as the voice of the customer in the region, providing insights into market needs and shaping our value proposition. Build strong account management practices to expand customer share with existing customers while developing new markets/customers. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver operational excellence, streamline sales delivery, and ensure customer satisfaction. Support project oversight and execution while meeting KPIs and sales targets. Qualifications & Experience: Degree or recognized qualification in Engineering. 5–6 years’ proven sales experience in industrial engineering/manufacturing & distribution background. Demonstrated success in Oil & Gas markets, with exposure to refineries, Pipelines, and valve OEM. Strong customer network across Valve OEM, EPCs, Consultants, and end users in the Oil & Gas ecosystem. Sound knowledge of sales techniques, account handling, and business development approaches. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. The Successful Candidate: Brings proven industry expertise in Oil & Gas, refineries, Pipelines with an established customer network. Has hands-on experience in Valve OEM exposure, EPC engagement, and key account management. Demonstrates ability to expand customer base and revenue streams through structured business development. Displays entrepreneurial flair, commercial acumen, and a strong growth mindset. Inspires confidence, collaborative, and solutions-oriented approach. Ability to work in matrixed and complex business environment, actively challenging status-quo and driving cross-functional alignment.
