SALES ENGINEER

Phoenix Technologies was the first independent firmware provider and has been pioneering firmware innovation since 1979 with nearly a billion units installed worldwide. Phoenix designs, develops, and secures UEFI BIOS firmware for a wide range of computing devices including computers, laptops, servers, IoT, and other advanced computing platforms and devices. This role will be focused primarily on the FirmGuard product.
FirmGuard is a unique and high growth cloud-based UEFI BIOS management and security solution, helping IT administrators manage their BIOS and protect from firmware-level threats. FirmGuard focuses on developing tools that secure the foundational layer of systems, ensuring device integrity from boot-up to shut down. Our mission is to help organizations identify, manage, and mitigate BIOS firmware vulnerabilities, ensuring they maintain secure and resilient IT environments.
We are seeking a Sales Engineer with client/server and enterprise software development experience. They will work closely with Product Management and Engineering to understand the product vision, requirements, customer usage models and report. With that insight, they will develop appropriate software test strategies.
Location: On-site 5 days per week -Fort Lauderdale, FL

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of QA experience
  • Familiar with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint
  • Defect management with JIRA or other tools
  • Experienced with automation tools like Jenkins, Selenium, Cucumber and/or Java
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required

Responsibilities
  • Strong background in software quality, test automation frameworks and testing methodologies.
  • Understanding of the software production life cycle, tools, process and execution planning
  • Lead the creation of key testing artifacts (such as test plans, test cases, reports, and UAT plans)
  • Develop, deploy and manage full-scale test strategies and plans and associated communications documents.
  • Oversee all the aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics and developing best practices ensuring that quality goals are met
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts, within the context of a project team
  • Lead internal defect triage calls, ensuring successful resolution of found defects
  • Help clients determine UAT approach and strategy
  • Assist with UAT defect triage calls
  • Proactively uncover project risks, apply appropriate mitigation approaches, and escalate to management when needed
  • Communicate with customer to understand business requirements, coordinate testing activities, and provide test results
  • Reporting, providing sign-offs & customer concerns of issues
