The Product Manager for Filters & Elements is responsible for meeting or exceeding the annual sales and profit goals established for the Product Group. You will manage key product activities including product training; sales support; application support, product and cost documentation and coordination of stocking requirements. You will make an impact in this role by: Having a sales acumen. Provide support to Application Engineering and Field Sales. Handle Customer Quotations and price strategies and prepare price lists. Providing support to application engineering and field sales (Distributor and RSM) Distributor, RSM and customer service training initiatives. Recommending new products/modifications. Recommending and monitoring stock levels. Developing and updating product literature and new product publicity. Coordinating trade shows. Preparing and presenting product presentations, reports and plans. Managing product and customer-related projects. Other duties as assigned. Key skills and attributes include: 10-25% travel, maximum would be 40%. Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the public. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in solutions where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations. Ability to use Database software, Project Management software, Spreadsheet and Word Processing. Problem Solving: Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Gathers and analyzes information skillfully. Develops alternative solutions. Production Management: Develops project plans. Coordinates plans. Communicates changes and progress. Customer Service: Responds promptly to customer needs. Responds to requests for service and assistance. Requirements To be considered for the Product Manager role, you must have the following minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with a technical focus (engineering is preferred). 3-5 years related industrial experience. Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. Self-starter and motivator. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent presentation skills. Able to develop effective relationships with distributors, regional sales managers, and customers. Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Writes clearly and informatively. Preferred skills include: Will consider 1 or 2 years related experience/training or equivalent combination of both 3 to 5 years related industrial experience.
