The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for providing deep product knowledge, technical expertise, and consultative solutions to prospective clients. This role acts as a trusted advisor to both the sales team and customers, translating complex business requirements into scalable technology solutions. Responsibilities Collaborate with account executives to identify customer needs and deliver tailored technology solutions. Conduct in-depth product presentations, demos, and proof-of-concept engagements. Analyze client requirements and design technical solutions using company products and services. Respond to technical sections of RFPs, RFIs, and proposals. Serve as the technical liaison between sales, product management, and engineering, providing customer feedback to enhance product features. Assist in the development of technical documentation and sales collateral. Participate in trade shows, webinars, and client meetings as a technical expert. Provide post-sale support for implementation planning and technical handoff. Stay up to date with industry trends, competitor solutions, and evolving technologies. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education and Formal Training: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, systems engineering, or a similar client-facing technical role. Strong understanding of IT systems, enterprise architecture, cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), networking, or software platforms. Ability to communicate technical details clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Proficient with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement platforms. Experience with SaaS, cybersecurity, AI/ML, IoT, or data analytics solutions. Familiarity with scripting or programming (e.g., Python, JavaScript, PowerShell).
