THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a dynamic Sales Engineer/Technical Representative to expand our customer base while providing expert technical guidance.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Technical Background: Engineering degree OR trade qualification in relevant field (mechanical, electrical, mechatronics, industrial automation)
• Sales Experience: Minimum 3+ years in technical sales, preferably in industrial automation or safety equipment
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and automation technologies
• Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Relationship Building: Proven track record of successful customer relationships
• Results-Oriented: Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets
• Location: Melbourne-based with willingness to travel as required

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in safety guarding and automated machinery markets
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships as the primary technical contact
• Assess customer requirements and provide sound engineering recommendations
• Design conceptual solutions for safety guarding and automation challenges
• Conduct site visits and technical assessments
• Document activities and opportunities in a crm system.
• Achieve sales targets and prepare detailed quotations
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop custom solutions
• Assist in project delivery by liaising with all stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction
