Description Generate sales by meeting potential and existing customers by building/maintaining relationships and delivering the Ernst experience according to our core values. This position reports to the Ernst GM and Sales Director. Essential Tasks and Job Functions Lead Generation and Development: Identify and contact potential customers Customer Engagement: Meet with customers to understand their needs and address their concerns Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing customers Communicate with the Credit and Collection Departments on credit applications, existing accounts, and accounts receivable issues Sales and Negotiation: closing sales, negotiating terms, and providing customer service Reporting and Forecasting: Maintaining detailed records of sales activities, providing periodic territory sales forecasts Industry Knowledge: Staying updated on industry trends and market conditions Travel and Time Management: Effectively manage time and travel to meet clients and conduct sales activities Review weekly and monthly trends in the bidding and backlog report Provide monthly expense report Meet quarterly/yearly goals laid out by the Sales Manager Collaborate with other team members such as dispatch, operations, quality control as well as Accounts Receivable Attend monthly DREAMS Meeting Actively participate in our safety programs such as Stop and Go’s and Drivers Observations Attend weekly (Teams meeting) and Quarterly (In Person) sales meetings C. Additional Expectations Ability to proficiently speak, read, and write English Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders, including: Management, supervisors, and peers People at various social levels Must have the ability to professionally and diplomatically handle situations involving unpleasant, angry, and/or discourteous people Must have and maintain a valid Georgia drivers’ license Must have desk top computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, database maintenance and internet knowledge Must be able to work a varied schedule to accommodate early, late or weekend deliveries Schedule flexibility is required to attend entertainment events and industry-related events after regular hours Must represent the Company in a professional manner in all areas including attire and appearance Ability to recognize standard construction and concrete practices Maintain all company issued items in a professional manner D. Physical Demands While in the field this position requires: The ability to walk on various terrain conditions The ability to climb a ladder on the front of a ready-mix concrete delivery truck, approximately 13 feet high Must be willing and able to lift up to100 pounds E. Environmental Conditions Must tolerate exposure to extreme weather conditions, high noise levels, and significant vibrations consistent with construction equipment and job site activities May be exposed to potentially toxic and dangerous products and chemicals such as cement lime, concrete admixtures, dust, diesel fuel, and other potentially harmful products and chemicals F.
