WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experience: minimum 3 years in sales estimating, cost analysis, or a related role, preferably in one or more of the following industries: Electronic security, Audio Visual workplace solutions or ICT sectors.
  • Knowledge: Ideally knowledge of technology solutions such as security systems, and AV solutions. Strong understanding of estimating processes, cost control and pricing strategies.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and numerical skills with high attention to detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software/tools.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or related fields preferred.
  • Personal Traits: A detailed-oriented, commercially minded and organised professional, with the ability to stay composed under pressure. A pro-active team player, you build strong relationships and approach clients and colleagues with professionalism and a customer-first mindset.
Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As Sales Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our sales function by preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations and proposals that help us deliver value to our customers.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

  • Design and document installed solutions with moderate complexity according to project requirements, to support sales team in winning new business.
  • Carry out in-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications and site visits in order to determine and advise on overall project requirements.
  • Prepare estimates and quotes for each project utilizing estimation software tool. Develop competitive pricing strategies and proposals for sales opportunities. Support customer requests for information including the completion of RFIs and RFPs.
  • Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering and operations to articulate the value proposition of products and services to customer.
    Overall, you’ll play a crucial role in identifying cost effective solutions that meet customer requirements and contributing to Convergint’s continued success.
