JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating project specifications and requirements, preparing accurate cost estimates, and ensuring that all estimates align with the company’s financial objectives. This role is crucial in supporting our project managers and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an Estimator in a relevant field (construction, engineering, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards is advantageous.

  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data for more precise estimates.
  • Maintain a database of historical costs to improve future estimating accuracy.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities in projects based on cost analysis.
  • Present estimates to management and assist in decision-making processes regarding bids.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure competitive estimates.
