VANRATH are delighted to be assisting one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable construction and property development company with the recruitment of a Sales Estimator. Fantastic company to work in, one of the best company cultures in NI and opportunities for progression.
Shifts are held over Monday to Friday . No weekend working. Permanent position.
This role will be based at the company’s Draperstown office.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Related experience + GCSE Maths/English
  • At least 1 year in accounts OR construction OR sales role
  • Proficient with IT systems
  • Ability to meet deadlines and juggle tasks

Desired

  • Min HND qualification in engineering / quantity surveying / building surveying / accounts / business or other related discipline
  • Estimating experience
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES

This is a customer service role with direct contact with customers and sales team. The main activity is developing quotes for clients. Product knowledge, a friendly manner, and an ability to communicate effectively are all important in the role.

  • Proactively work as part of the sales office team to ensure that customer enquiries are accurately priced/repriced within Klaes and returned as requested
  • Constant checking and communication with the clients to make sure that the enquiries are suitable for their project in terms of type, style and colour and relevant building regulations.
  • Being attentive to Product Specifications for tested and approved products for various schemes
  • Checking and referring any concerns regarding the technical areas of an enquiry to the Office Manager and/or Production Management.
  • Preparing quotes to set mark-ups within Excel/Klaes.
  • Referring any requests for a variation in mark-ups to the Office Manager.
  • Being aware of, and communicating warranty limitations and HJ recommendations on installation, maintenance etc as set out in the Heron Joinery Warranty, Site Storage and Installation and Maintenance Documents.
  • Ensuring satisfactory levels of housekeeping/tidiness are proactively maintained.
  • Co-operate with the Office Manager and members of management by maintaining good lines of communication and recognition of over-lapping problems and the need to work together to resolve issues
  • Ensuring acceptable standards of behaviour are maintained and where a matter arises, which you suspect or believed to contravene a disciplinary rule or otherwise be a disciplinary matter inform the Office Manager.
  • Supporting the identification of both your own and other employees training and development needs to enhance individual competency levels.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

  • Maintaining efficient and effective operational procedures for BS EN ISO 9001 and Chain of Custody requirements.
  • Ensuring that concerns with plant and equipment identified and/or informed of are reported and followed up to ensure actions taken at the earliest opportunity.
