POSITION SUMMARY:

The event assistant position is designed to be a supportive role to the sales and events team, both in the office and on-site at events. This entry level role will give you a unique opportunity to apply your skills to a growing events department. You will be given hands on experience and will be provided with the training and tools to be successful in the event industry.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Skilled in project management 
  • Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office 
  • Knowledge of TripleSeat is preferred. 
  • Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • A knack for problem solving. 
  • Customer service orientated. 
  • A team player with leadership skills 
  • Ability to work well in a team and collaborate with various departments. 
  • Customer-centric attitude and commitment to providing exceptional service. 
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer relationship management. 
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events and meetings. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong banquet/catering experience.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to move lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds. 
  • Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. 
  • Must be able to stand or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift (range from 8-12 hours). 
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
