Eureka 89 is the stunning events and dining space on the top floor of Eureka Tower in Melbourne. We host a wide variety of events - corporate lunches, dinners or cocktail parties, media launches, private milestone celebrations and weddings. We also operate a chef’s tasting dining room, open to the public throughout the week.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Sales & Events Coordinator with a passion for working closely with our clients to deliver the best possible event outcomes. This is a full-time position requiring meticulous attention to detail and a positive work attitude.
This role is primarily responsible for the sale, coordination and delivery of events and charters, including private celebrations, weddings, conferences and corporate gatherings. The position is dynamic, fast-paced and customer-driven, focusing on events at Eureka 89, but will also private bookings across the brands within Journey Beyond’s Attractions and Dining (A&D) division.
To excel in this position, a proactive mindset, meticulous focus on details and the ability to think outside the box are essential traits.

On a day-to-day basis, responsibilities include:

  • Handle enquiries and generate leads for events and charters, while working towards budgeted sales targets.
  • Maintain communication with the Operations team, suppliers, and stakeholders to meet client expectations and ensure successful repeat events.
  • Source new business opportunities and actively participate in weekly team meetings for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage dining enquiries, bookings, prepayments, and guests’ special requests.

A standard working day is expected to be 10:00 am – 6:00 pm on any of the seven days of the week, and you may be required to work on gazetted public holidays. Flexibility is required to allow for business necessities. This may fall outside of standard working hours/days, between the hours of 06:00 am and 09:00 pm.
