Job description FINANCIAL RETURNS • Promote Holiday Inn Express brand experience and products using IHG tools, resources, and sales techniques. • Position and articulate the hotel’s Unique Selling Points to drive competitive advantage and revenue growth. • Align sales activities with departmental strategies to optimise both rate and volume. • Proactively acquire new business while maintaining and growing existing corporate and leisure accounts. • Prepare and submit proposals, tenders, and contracts in consultation with the Director of Sales. • Support and drive IHG and property-level commercial initiatives. • Assist in the preparation and management of the annual Sales & Marketing budget. • Represent the hotel in sales trips and trade shows to build pipelines and market presence. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business partners, including corporate accounts, travel agents, airlines, government bodies, embassies, and convention bureaus. • Monito competitor activities and market trends, sharing actionable insights to drive overall sales strategy.   PEOPLE • Build strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with IHG colleagues and Key Account teams to maximise network opportunities and drive business growth. • Uphold high service standards through training, coaching, and leading by example. • Demonstrate IHG Brand Service Behaviours in all interactions. • Communicate effectively and share critical business information with relevant teams.   GUEST EXPERIENCE • Promote IHG products and programmes (e.g. IHG One Rewards, Business Rewards, Business Edge). • Maintain strong knowledge of IHG hotels and offerings within the region. • Manage and grow assigned accounts through consistent engagement and relationship management. • Handle guest feedback and complaints within 24 hours, ensuring timely resolution in coordination with the Director of Sales.   RESPONSIBLE BUSINESS • Adhere to all occupational health & safety (OH&S) policies and procedures. • Maintain awareness of safety, emergency, and first aid protocols. • Identify and report potential hazards, incidents, or risks promptly. • Support sustainability initiatives and contribute to reducing the hotel’s environmental impact. • Exercise accountability in managing budgets and expenses, seeking appropriate approvals.   ACCOUNTABILITY • Complete all required IHG training and maintain proficiency in relevant systems (e.g. Concerto, HotelKey, Merlin, IWOS). • Contribute to achieving the hotel’s corporate segment budget and departmental goals. • Demonstrate a results-driven mindset, consistently striving to exceed sales targets. • Submit weekly sales activity reports and forward planning updates. • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of accounts and business pipelines. • Actively cross-sell all hotel revenue streams, including rooms, meetings, and F&B. • Refer business opportunities to other IHG properties when appropriate. • Contribute, assist content and prepare for any business meetings required by Director of Sales. • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members where required. • Contribute, assist content and prepare for any business meetings required by Director of Sales.
