Description

We are one of the largest School Photographers in the country with a customer base of over 2000 educational establishments. 2025 will be our 60th year of trading during which time we have built an excellent reputation for quality and service.
The position involves calling on the above within the school day, promoting our services as photographers in a very competitive environment. We also require courtesy calls to be made on existing customers.
The person we are looking for will need to be of smart appearance, self motivated, tenacious, and above all, not fazed by rejection with a love of driving. You will spend most days working on your own, cold calling in person on schools creating your own leads and interest.
In return we will provide a company vehicle that is fully expensed except for private mileage. A company pension scheme, and a mobile phone is provided along with a laptop for company use. The package will include a salary of 25k, plus bonus and commission in the region of 8 - 18k but this is open ended with the potential to earn more. You will have a minimum of 38 days annual leave to be taken in the school holiday periods. Various days at half terms may be included but we are not always able to guarantee complete weeks for these due to meetings being scheduled.
The area to be covered is Berkshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Wiltshire, North Hampshire and West London where there are approximately 1500 potential customers of which we have an approximate 10% market share.

Job Purpose: Field Sales position, calling on schools in person with a focus on bringing in new business, and retaining existing customer base.

Responsibilities
  • Calling on new schools promoting our services and products
  • Calling on existing customer base (approx. 150 schools) making courtesy calls focussing on customer retention.
  • Breaking down loyalty barriers to our competitors and building relationships.
  • Using initiative to offer package deals while ensuring profitability of school.
  • Selling products and services inline with the business requirements.
  • Focussing on seasonal variations, ensuring practical bookings made for appropriate terms.
  • Overcome objections, ensuring our products and services are presented in a positive manner.
  • Listening to customer requirements and propose satisfactory solutions to customer and business.
  • Plan and organise work schedule to maximum effect.
  • Identify product improvements or new products by keeping up to date on competitors and customer requirements.
  • Contributing to team effort and hit individual monthly targets.
  • Liaising with office regarding photographer availability and available dates.
  • Advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions.
  • Responsible for own personal development, highlighting areas where more attention is needed.
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of Braiswick products and promote a positive work ethic.
  • Maintain company records swiftly and accurately, providing a paper chain wherever possible.
  • Adhere to company policies in place, referring to your staff handbook where necessary.
  • Maintain training and knowledge of company procedures as set out by the organisation.
