Recent attempts involve fake LinkedIn profiles set up to appear that persons affiliated with the Hotel are seeking applicants to fill positions. These imposters may use InMail, Gmail or some other platform to contact people regarding “open positions” and have even requested banking information from candidates.

Your Experience and Skills Include:

  • Previous experience in Tour & Travel or Business Travel is preferred but not required
  • Excellent guest service and sales skills are required.
  • Must have strong communication skills both verbal and written, second language an asset.
  • High efficiency in excel
  • Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of Hotel Systems, CI/TY & SFA Web & Lightspeed, an asset.
  • Must be able to work outside of traditional business hours. May be required to travel, entertain clients and attend industry functions and events during the evening and weekends.
  • Flexible to ever-changing clients’ requirements
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Self-motivated with high energy levels and a positive attitude
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Able to work independently under tight timelines and able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

INTERNATIONAL SALES AND TOUR AND TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • FIT reservations tasks such as stop sell, rate sheets, inquiries from inhouse reservations
  • FIT account management – client communication
  • Develop FIT client relationships to upsell and find new business opportunities with existing clients
  • Adhoc Tour and Travel bookings. Develop new accounts for new bookings for the year and within the year
  • Client communication
  • Competitive analysis and industry updates
  • Business Development
  • Lead and direct on property site inspection
  • Attend and participate in hotel, brand or destination familiarization client trips
  • Attend industry client events and meetings as required
  • Administrative duties assigned by Director, International sales
  • Website vetting of our tour and travel partners

BUSINESS TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Submitting GDS rate loading and new corporate rates
  • Input and update rate master
  • Competitive analysis of hotels
  • Daily, weekly, monthly Business Travel Reporting
  • Ambassador to our business travel guests including visit to Club Lounge or engaging guests during check in and check out
  • Business Development through prospecting and client interaction
  • Attend local industry and client events
  • Administrative duties assigned by Business Travel Sales Manager
  • Uncovering new opportunities in the BT market
