Job description: Sales Executive – IT Software & Development Services

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Executive with a proven track record in selling IT Software and Development Services. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience in B2B sales, with a deep understanding of the North American tech landscape. This role requires someone based in Toronto, Canada, with strong communication, relationship-building, and technical acumen to drive new business and expand existing accounts across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities for custom software development, IT consulting, SaaS solutions, and managed services across North America.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads using outbound strategies (cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, email campaigns, etc.).
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure, including proposal development, contract negotiation, and post-sale handover.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams to tailor solutions to client requirements.
  • Develop strong relationships with C-level decision-makers, IT managers, and procurement teams.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the IT services sector.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and prepare regular sales reports and forecasts.

Required Experience :

  • Proven Track record in FinTech / Banking domain Sales: Proven track record in generating business / sales in the North American ( US, Canada) and LATAM countries. Must be able to quantify business revenues generated in earlier roles.
  • Client Relationship Experience & Building: Must be able to bring past client relations into the role and parallelly cultivate long-term relationships with new senior/client executives, seek upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Deal Execution: Navigate complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, develop pricing models, negotiate contracts, and close deals.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, cloud services, custom software development, and modern tech stacks.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience selling to mid-market and enterprise clients in industries such as fintech, healthcare, retail, or logistics.
  • Background in working with nearshore/offshore development teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to close deals and achieve sales quotas.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and able to travel occasionally within North America.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies like AI/ML, IoT, or DevOps
