We are hiring for a Sales Executive!

POSITION SUMMARY

Contact appropriate individual or department as necessary to resolve guest calls, inquiries, requests, or problems. Use sales techniques that maximize revenue while maintaining existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including up-selling. Determine and give complimentaries to guests as gifts for their patronage. Promote awareness of brand image internally and externally. Process requests for redeeming Marriott Rewards points. Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Enter Marriott Rewards information into appropriate software when taking guest reservations. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, requests, questions, or concerns. Perform general office duties to support Sales & Marketing.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.

Responsibilities
  • Executes Sales Strategy to achieve goal for hotel.
  • Partners with Event Management and Operations in providing a customer experience that exceeds the customer’s expectations.
  • Manages relationships with multiple contacts in assigned market accounts.
  • Proactively identifies, qualifies and solicits new business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.
  • Develops contracts and correspondence, manages opportunity details and proactively develops customer solutions.
  • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.
  • Closes the best opportunities for the hotel based on market conditions and hotel needs.
  • Uses negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings. Activities include sales calls, site inspections, entertainment, FAM trips, trade shows, etc. document in account management tool.
  • Effectively manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Focuses on catering lead conversion.
  • Serves the customer by understanding their needs and recommending the appropriate features and services that best meet their needs and exceed their expectations, while building a continuing relationship and loyalty to Marriott.
  • Gain understanding of the hotel’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program/event.
