Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven and business development focused Sales Executive to join our Motor Vehicle Sales team where you’ll be responsible for your own territory. We’re flexible on the location of the successful candidate as long as they’re on the east coast. This role will see you out on the road most of the time, developing and maintaining relationships with small to medium size businesses to secure their fleet of vehicles to sell and auction through Pickles.

The key responsibilities are:

  • Main focus will be developing new business opportunities for Pickles as well as maintaining some existing relationships
  • Driving new business through cold calling and following up on leads from existing clients to source vehicles for sale or auction
  • Conducting face to face and online zoom meetings with customers to sell the right solutions and sales channels
  • Utilising the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to track your activity
  • Monitoring and reporting on market conditions and activities of competitors
  • Conduct inspections and/or valuations of motor vehicle stock

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience with business development and sales in the same or similar industry
  • A consultative approach to selling is preferred
  • High level interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced role where they will be driving new business development
  • Experience with a Client Relationship Management (CRM) system tracking sales activities and leads
  • Experienced in the auction or related industry and able to show demonstrated success in achieving financial and sales target
