KEY SKILLS

  • Sales Knowledge: A good understanding of the full sales cycle process.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Working on a multi award winning event series, you will be responsible for achieving individual sales targets, working towards the annual event sales target. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for the ongoing growth and success of our shows – developing long term client relationships and providing a mixture of new and repeat business. You will provide a professional level of customer service and account insight to prospective exhibitors.
The role will involve international travel and face-face selling, although 90% of the position will be telephone sales-based.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Tele-Sales: Selling over the phone to existing, lapsed and potential new clients, building customer relationships, delivering excellent customer service to meet sales revenue targets.
  • Sales Delivery: Selling to existing, lapsed and potential new business clients, building customer relationships, delivering excellent customer service, and maximising revenue – travelling internationally as required.
  • Sales Targets: Identifying new leads to target sales, working closely with the Event Director to identify new revenue streams.
  • Stakeholder Management: Creating, developing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients and demonstrating the value of attending our events.
  • Team Collaboration: Closely coordinate with the Operations team in all operation matters and with the Marketing team in promotional activities, coordinate with the Finance team for timely and correct invoicing.
  • Market Research: Keeping abreast of market developments and identifying and researching new growth area for sales.
  • Data Management: Managing and updating company CRM system, ensuring that all relevant information is available and accurate.
  • Objection Handling: Trouble shooting particularly difficult client queries escalating to the Sales/Event Director as required.
  • Account Management: Account manage our clients to achieve high exhibitor satisfaction levels.
  • Contract Management: Creating and sending contracts to our clients, ensuring these are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
  • Event Support: Assist onsite with the re-booking of existing client sales, as well as other required duties to support the smooth-running and success of our exhibitions.
  • Strong Output: Ensure high levels of care and customer satisfaction regarding the sector.
  • Admin Support: Support with any other daily tasks as guided by Event Director / Portfolio Director / Sales Director, to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
  • Ad-hoc Duties: Undertake any other duties as requested.
