Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a driven, articulate, and ambitious Sales Executive to help grow our presence in the Higher and Further Education sector. This role is a mix of hunting and farming, requiring strategic account management and proactive prospecting to win new clients and expand existing customer relationships.
A core aspect of the role is the extensive use of HubSpot CRM to build, manage, , and drive progression of pipeline opportunities and associated new and existing customer revenues. You will be responsible for maintaining CRM hygiene, analysing pipeline data and leveraging insights to optimize sales efficiency. This role is ideally suited for someone who has ambitions to advance their career with further career progression and internal promotion opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prospecting & Lead Generation:

  • Identify, engage and qualify new prospects as well as identifying new stakeholders within existing clients where customer upsell opportunities may exist through cold calling, email outreach, social networking, and inbound lead management.

  • Leverage HubSpot CRM to monitor and manage leads , pro-active follow-up, and ensure a consistent sales pipeline and deal flow through to successful contract closure.
  • Client Outreach & Engagement:
  • Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders in Higher and Further Education, demonstrating the value of SafeZone.
  • Execute personalized, targeted data-driven outreach campaigns using HubSpot’s automation tools.
  • Sales Management & Pipeline Development:
  • Use HubSpot CRM to monitor deal progress, forecast revenue, and improve conversion rates.
  • Account Management & Upselling:
  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers, to drive expansion, and upsell opportunities.
  • Use HubSpot reporting tools to track engagement and identify growth opportunities.
  • Multichannel Sales Execution:
  • Utilize a mix of phone, email, LinkedIn, and video outreach to engage and convert prospects.
  • Leverage HubSpot’s lead scoring and segmentation to prioritize high-value opportunities.
  • HubSpot CRM Administration & Sales Campaigns:
  • Manage and optimize sales workflows, deal stages, and automation sequences within HubSpot.
  • Collaborate with marketing to execute targeted email and nurture campaigns via HubSpot.
  • Objection Handling & Negotiation:
  • Address concerns confidently, using data-driven insights from HubSpot to tailor responses and close deals effectively.
  • Collaboration & Continuous Learning:
  • Work closely with marketing, customer success, and product teams to refine sales strategies.
  • Stay up to date with HubSpot CRM best practices to maximize sales efficiency.

Experience: The ideal candidate is intelligent, driven, professionally curious and digitally literate. You might have 3-5 years of work experience having previously worked in a marketing, customer success or internal sales role with experience of the education, healthcare markets or you have worked in a technology field.

  • Sales & CRM Skills:
  • Strong understanding of sales pipeline management and CRM best practices (HubSpot experience required).
  • Proven ability to hunt for new business, farm existing accounts, and drive revenue growth.
  • Digital Fluency:
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sales automation tools.
  • Comfortable using data and analytics to drive sales decisions.
  • Personality: Personable, articulate, and driven, with the ability to engage and influence decision-makers at all levels.
  • Motivated & Ambitious: A self-starter who is eager to learn, takes initiative, and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
  • Education & Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the Higher and Further Education landscape is a plus but not required
