Job Details Job Location: Miami, FL 33142 Position Type: Full Time Education Level: High School Salary Range: $15.00 - $15.00 Travel Percentage: Up to 25% Job Shift: Any Job Category: Retail Summary: In conjunction with the Supervisor and Assistant Store Manager, the Floor Lead is responsible for overseeing all areas of the sales floor, including maximizing sales, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining visual presentation standards, and managing the front-end area. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Sales The Floor Lead will assist the Supervisor and Assistant Store Manager in successfully maintaining the sales floor and sales goals, front-end and visual, per customer standards. Ensure that production goals are met or exceeded consistently. Ensure maximum sales performance through proper merchandise rotation, visual merchandising, signage, and optimal inventory levels. Ensure that the store consistently meets or exceeds sales goals. Ensure that the store presents quality customer service promptly and courteously to all shoppers, donors, and employees. Ensure that proper attention is given to the floor appearance, cleanliness, and shopping environment. This includes, but is not limited to, floor care, fitting rooms, cash registers, customer service areas, aisles, trash cans, lights, restrooms, glass showcases, window ledges, and doors. Ensure that doors, odor control systems, cash registers, and restrooms are functioning correctly. Assist in maintaining the appearance of the building exterior and parking lot, including but not limited to windows, doors, sidewalks, parking lot lights, dumpster area, landscape, shopping cart retrieval, store entry, and signage. Ensure the monthly store audit achieves a passing score of at least 90%. Understand how Donations and production are related to sales. To qualify to be promoted to Supervisor, you must have worked in all areas of the store. Sales Floor and Visual Ensure associates place Z-racks on the sales floor every 30-45 minutes and that the floor is appropriately colorized and sized. Assure that textiles are correctly classified on the sales floor. Fitting rooms are appropriately attended to and cleaned up after every customer. Proper housekeeping. Follow the rotation schedule to ensure that no inactive colors are on the sales floor. Ensure all visual displays are correctly done. When selling an item from a mannequin, replace the item with another one. Ensure associates always use their name tags. Also, ensure that the H-racks and 4-ways are full to maximum capacity. Identify any damaged merchandise on the floor, wares, shoes, textiles, etc. Be aware of surroundings for loss prevention issues. Make sure cash registers are adequately staffed. Ensure a fast, efficient flow of customers at the registers. Ensure all registers have the correct change and necessary supplies. Responsible for filling voids according to policies and procedures. Count and verify all cashiers’ tills at the end of their shift. Report any discrepancy. Ensure that cashiers are meeting their daily sales quota. Register readings at 12:00 p.m., 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. Ensure that all credit card transactions are completed correctly and accurately. Adhering to the electrical return policy. Training new cashiers as well as adding on. Must be a mentor and motivated to ensure a pleasant work environment. Loss Prevention Keep premises clean and free of safety hazards. Ensure that all staff and store employees understand and follow safety procedures. Ensure all loss prevention matters are reported, investigated, and corrected promptly. Ensure proper operation of store security, including door locks, alarms, office doors, bank deposits, refunds, safes, and incident reports. Ensure proper cash handling, enforce cash register procedures, and submit required reports. Miscellaneous Duties The Front End Lead will provide an efficient and effective workforce. Maintain the morale of the workforce. Ensure that store reports, personnel status changes, and rehabilitation information are communicated accurately and promptly. Effectively manage the assigned store to ensure that store staff adhere properly to policies and procedures. Ensure adequate utilization of Human Resources (HR) to maintain discipline effectively. Qualifications Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred. Good math skills Minimum 2 years of experience in retail and one year in a supervisory capacity. Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics. Computer literate. Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in the English language, both oral and written. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
