SALES & HOSPITALITY WINE SERVER FOR GEORGIA WINERY’S BOOTH LOCATED INSIDE ROCK CITY ON LOOKOUT MOUNTAIN, GA

Georgia Winery is hiring staff for permanent Part or Full Time for our booth at Rock City! We are looking a part time position of 2+ days at Rock City with potentially more days/ hours seasonally. A full time position would involve shifts at the winery in Ringgold, GA. Hours will vary according to Rock City’s hours and could be up to 10+ hours in a shift. Weekends and ability to cover all shifts and 7 days a week are required.
We are looking for candidates with a can-do attitude who enjoy working with people! They must possess a passion for all things wine, serving and talking to customers, and have the initiative to provide excellent hospitality and customer service.
The ideal Rock City candidate loves talking to people to encourage wine tastings and sales and works independently. This position centers on presentation and sales of wine by hosting wine tastings in a fast-paced manner. The position requires the ability to operate all aspects of the booth as you will be running the booth by yourself as well as high energy and excellent communication skills with customers and management staff.
The Rock City booth is located within Rock City Gardens atop of Lookout Mountain. Rock City guests can visit our booth, do a wine tasting, and purchase wines to take home. This is an added entertainment and fun element for Rock City guests.

Job Skills:
· Strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency. The more people you can serve, the more wine bottles you sell and the more money you make in tips!
· Strong attention to detail and great communication.
· Willingness to work alone and run the booth at Rock City independently.
· Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner to fellow Team Members and customers.
· Represent the company and brand professionally.
· Meet and greet customers and create a memorable experience.
· Effectively up-sell wine and associated merchandise.
· Accurately handle daily task including but not limited to—POS transactions and restocking wine.
· Attend staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
Experience
· No prior wine experience required. Customer service, sales, and food or retail experience preferred.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a strong back to lift cases of wine upstairs.
· Be able to stand and work on feet 8+ hours a day.
· Flexible schedule required and ability to cover shifts.
· Booth at Rock City is covered and outside year round so you must dress accordingly. It is basically open daily, with limited days in January only.
· Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
· Must be at least 21 years old.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Have a professional appearance and demeanor.
· Because the booth can not be left unattended, breaks are taken during slow traffic moments at the booth so you must plan ahead to bring your own food, snacks, and water.
Schedule
· Our booth is open 7 days a week starting in February through December and 3 days a week in January. Part time can consist of 2-4 days a week and full time is 35-40 a week with shifts at Georgia Winery during off season. Ideally any time off would be taken in January. Hours adjust according to Rock City’s operational hours.
Pay
· $12 an hour is base pay with tips. Tips have been averaging at least $8+ an hour. The more 21+ aged people you talk to and offer free wine tastings to and the more people you serve at your bar, the more wine bottles you can sell and the money you can make in tips.

SALARY:

$17 -$25+
