Role Purpose The Sales Instructor (Insurance) is central to delivering high-quality learning and development solutions within the insurance sector. The Trainer will design, deliver, and facilitate both in-person and virtual training programs that align with business goals, regulatory requirements, and organizational needs. The position requires strong facilitation skills, technical expertise, and the ability to engage and inspire participants while ensuring compliance and operational excellence. This is not a passive delivery role. It is a forward-looking, impact-driven position for a professional who wants to shape learning experiences, challenge assumptions, and directly influence workforce capability and business outcomes. Key Accountabilities Learning Delivery & Facilitation Deliver and facilitate high-quality training solutions (classroom and virtual) that meet course and business objectives. Manage time effectively to plan, organize, and deliver learning programs on schedule. Ensure course objectives are achieved in line with established timetables. Provide leadership and support to participants, fostering engagement and knowledge retention. Technical & Regulatory Expertise Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, procedural, and client system requirements to minimize risk. Demonstrate mastery of client platforms (e.g., Webex, Degreed) to assist learners in their use. Support production needs during classes and initiatives as required. Collaboration & Program Development Work closely with the Delivery team to maximize operational capacity across the group. Contribute technical expertise to the design and development of new and existing training programs. Evaluate training effectiveness using appropriate documentation and systems, applying insights to improve course and personal performance. Stakeholder Engagement & Governance Build constructive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Act proactively to resolve delivery issues and ensure accountability among involved parties. Comply with all client and GP processes, including mandatory training requirements. Maintain an updated Instructor Agenda to ensure all support activities are recorded and reportable. What Success Looks Like Training programs are delivered on time, aligned with business objectives, and meet participant needs. Learners demonstrate improved performance and confidence in applying knowledge. Regulatory and procedural compliance is consistently maintained. Stakeholders view training as a strategic enabler of business outcomes. Collaboration across teams enhances operational efficiency and program quality. Candidate Profile Experience & Capability Minimum 3 years of experience delivering classroom and virtual training. At least 1 year of experience training sales teams. At least 1 year of experience in training within the insurance sector. Technical Strength Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Knowledge of videoconferencing tools and digital learning platforms. Education Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Communication, or Marketing. Mindset & Behaviours Effective communicator with strong public speaking and group management skills. Team-oriented with a service-driven attitude. Confident facilitator who can engage diverse audiences. Proactive, organized, and adaptable in dynamic environments.
