Job Details Job Location: Jamestown, NC 27282 Position Type: Internship Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: Day Job Category: Sales Job purpose Furnitureland South is looking for a qualified sales intern to assist in multiple touchpoints in the sales process. This individual will be responsible for completing a project(s) that will help develop skills such as team building, time management, business etiquette, networking, and communication. The ideal intern will be a great fit for our energetic and creative team. You’ll gain hands-on experience working with guidance from a mentor and other members of our team. In addition, one will be exposed to valuable knowledge of the furniture industry. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Work closely with our Sales Management and Sales Education team to grow fundamental sales skills through comprehensive training and high-impact experiences. Gain an understanding of the dynamics of the retail sector. Ask smart, relevant questions to speak knowledgeably with decision-makers at companies. Build interest and qualify decision-makers to ultimately schedule a meeting with them. Use technology such as CRM and sales acceleration software to be a modern sales pro. Engage in a team environment and develop client relationships. Learn to leverage selling tools to grow sales and profit. Facilitate and present to senior management a real business project that requires field research and data analytics. Other duties as assigned. This is an onsite position. Working conditions This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones. Physical requirements While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Must be enrolled in a four-year college/university or an individual enrolled in a two-year college with at least one year of relevant work experience. Preferred Education and Experience Enrolled in a four-year college/university pursuing a degree in Business, Communications, Entrepreneurship, Sales or related concentration. One year in retail or related work experience.
