Description

The Sales and Inventory Accounting Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and reporting on all finished-vehicle-inventory/databases including company cars and damaged vehicles and processing the sales and marketing month-end closing procedures.
This position will also be required to prepare Unrealized Earnings (UE) calculations, journal vouchers, trend analyses, and account reconciliations as well as liaising with the ledger accounting outsourced provider to ensure accurate timely transactions and completion of month-end closing procedures, coordinating with vehicles sales and distribution operations personnel, and handling various other special projects as required.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree Business - Accounting or Finance
  • Professional CPA accounting designation or on track to achieve their CPA designation
  • Minimum TWO (2) years accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to work independently
  • Must be a self-starter and have the ability to manage special projects to completion
  • Must work well in a team environment and detail oriented
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications required, especially Excel and Access
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven project management and time management skills
  • Experience with a public accounting firm
  • Knowledge of SAP
