Position Overview The Sales Lead will grow and sustain Nest DC’s client base by cultivating strong relationships with property owners looking for Nest DC’s property management services. You’ll guide owners during a tender and often stressful moment—deciding how to rent or reposition a property—and help them understand Nest DC’s value, process, and model of care. You’ll nurture an already active inbound pipeline supported by a sophisticated CRM, smart drip campaigns, and a strong internal team. This is an in-person, people-centric role meant for someone who loves DC, loves meeting new people, and loves opening doors. This position offers a base salary plus significant commissions. Occasional evening or weekend events may be needed. You’ll work closely with the Owner & Founder and collaborate with the Home Management, Leasing, Operations, and Starling Maintenance teams. What You Bring Required 3+ years in sales, business development, client relations, or real estate–adjacent roles Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Experience working with a CRM and structured sales processes Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with warmth and clarity Demonstrated commitment to customer care and relationship stewardship Deep familiarity with Washington, DC and its neighborhoods A proactive, positive, and solutions-oriented mindset Excellent communications skills Preferred Experience in real estate, property management, leasing, hospitality, or a service-based industry Understanding of DC housing dynamics, regulatory considerations, and rental market trends Comfort with public speaking, networking, and community events Comfort with property management platforms (AppFolio, LeadSimple, ShowMojo, or similar).
