JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a Sales Ledger Clerk to join our team, assisting with all aspects of the department.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in Sage 200 an advantage but not essential as full training would be given
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Confident telephone manner
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage large volumes of paperwork
  • Ability to work to deadlines and targets
  • Experience preferred but not essential
    This role may become permanent after a 3 month probationary period.
    Working hours: 8.00am – 5.00pm, Monday – Friday
    Job Type: Full-time
    Please be advised the listed starting salary is minimum wage for those aged 21 or over. Starting salary will be from the minimum wage appropriate for your age; however is negotiable depending on experience.
    Minimum wage for those aged 18 – 20 is £20,800.00
    Minimum wage for those 21+ is £25,396.80
    Job Types: Full-time, Contract, Permanent
    Pay: From £25,396.80 per year

Responsibilities
  • Phoning customers and chasing overdue payments
  • Reconciling accounts
  • Printing & importing invoices into Sage 200
  • Running daily sales figures
  • Running and sending out monthly statements to customers
  • Weekly reporting and discussing overdue accounts
  • Taking payments over the phone
  • Answering customer queries
  • Month end reporting
  • Entering payments and invoices on to sage
  • Answering the phone
  • Opening, sorting post & dealing with internal mail
