Venture Recruitment Partners are supporting a growing SME, based on the outskirts of Southampton, in their search for a Sales Ledger Clerk / Credit Controller on an short-term temporary basis.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE INCLUDE:

  • Proven experience in credit control, ideally with exposure to international clients.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly over the phone – you’re confident, persuasive, and personable.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing your time and priorities effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Working closely with the the external accounting firm to ensure seamless financial processes.
  • Review and cross-check invoices, submitted to clients, ensuring accuracy and prompt payment.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable ledgers, keeping financial records up-to-date and accurate.
  • Build and maintain relationships, with both clients and vendors, becoming the go-to person for queries, payment discussions, and financial negotiations.
  • Chase debt proactively, with confidence on the phone and via email, ensuring timely payments, even across international markets.
