POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Event Sales Associate serves as the central hub for external communication, managing inquiries and guiding leads to appropriate contacts. Responsibilities include qualifying leads, maintaining CRM, as well as, sales administration, understanding event requirements, and ensuring precise event planning and billing. Proficiency in customer service, multitasking, and relevant software systems are crucial for efficient event coordination and maintaining professional standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong active listening skills and a demonstrable track record of providing exceptional personal and customer service, coupled with the ability to quickly grasp and understand various processes.
  • Experience with over-the-phone sales.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • Computer literacy with experience in Property Management Systems (PMS), Google Drive, calendar management, and the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Minimum of two years of experience in the hospitality/hotel industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
  • Serve as the initial contact for external communication, fielding inquiries from individuals outside the organization and promptly directing leads to the appropriate managers via telephone, in writing, email, or in-person interactions. Additionally, qualify leads and engage with customers to understand their objectives and requirements for events, ranging from meetings, social events, and weddings.
  • Track leads and maintain leads in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. Utilize Property Management Software to facilitate the creation and presentation of weekly reports, providing insight and updates to colleagues.
  • Manage administrative tasks including, but not limited to, organizing files, disseminating promotional materials, and documenting responses to inquiries to ensure efficient handling of administrative details.
  • Schedule weekly staff meetings and issue Banquet Event Order (BEO) planning documents.
