Company Description Pullman Rotorua is seeking a proactive and commercially driven Sales Manager to grow business with particular focus on MICE, Corporate and Group segments. As Rotorua’s leading 5-star hotel and part of the global Accor network, Pullman Rotorua offers 130 premium guest rooms, modern meeting facilities and the vibrant Barrel & Co restaurant. This role will play a key part in strengthening our market presence by securing new conference, corporate and group business across Rotorua, the Bay of Plenty and wider New Zealand markets. We are looking for someone who thrives on building relationships, identifying opportunities and converting leads into confirmed business. Job Description Key Responsibilities Proactively generate new business across MICE, corporate and group segments. Develop relationships with local and national companies, event organizers, associations, travel agents and tour operators. Actively target residential conferences, day meetings, incentive groups and corporate accommodation. Build strong connections within the Rotorua and Bay of Plenty business community. Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate and agency accounts. Conduct regular sales calls, client meetings and hotel site inspections. Represent Pullman Rotorua at industry networking events and trade shows. Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts for conference and group enquiries. Work closely with the Revenue Management team to align group opportunities with pricing and availability strategies. Ensure seamless handover of confirmed business to the operations team. Promote Pullman Rotorua as a premium destination for conferences, corporate travel and group stays. Maintain strong awareness of competitor activity and market trends. Support marketing initiatives designed to grow MICE and group demand. Qualifications Suggested Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2–3 years' experience in hotel sales, conference & events sales, or business development. Strong understanding of MICE, corporate and group segments. Proven track record in generating new business and achieving sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage multiple enquiries and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience using hotel systems such as Opera, Delphi or similar CRM tools is an advantage. Knowledge of the Rotorua, Bay of Plenty or wider New Zealand corporate market would be beneficial.
