Job Description The Sales Manager is responsible for maximizing profitability of the hotel, achieving and surpassing yearly sales budget, and ensuring delivery of outstanding quality service for all guests and clients. The Sales Manager works closely with revenue management and marketing to develop strategies that will maximize Revpar . They will be responsible for Annual Sales budgets and forecasts. Primary Responsibilities Business Performance Prepare sales reports and annual sales plans Develop & execute sales strategies to achieve monthly and annual revenue targets across core segments Source, negotiate, and secure new business from corporate accounts, travel agencies, event planners, and group organisers Maintain strong relationships with existing accounts through regular engagement, account reviews, and service follow-through Prepare proposals, conduct site inspections, and lead contract negotiations to close business opportunities Assist Director of Sales in preparation of sales plan, programs, annual budgets, forecasts Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and demand shifts within Singapore and regional feeder markets. Knowledge of the travel industry, current market trends and economic factors Represent the hotel at trade shows, industry events, and sales missions when required Manages sales activities within approved plans and budgets. Prepare monthly sales reports, market analysis, and account performance updates for management review Ability to listen effectively, clear communication and perform diplomacy with internal and external customers in all situations Ensure accurate and timely updates in CRM systems, including account details, activities, and pipeline revenue Develop awareness and reputation of the hotel and the brand in the local community Direct and manage all group, transient, and F&B sales activities to maximize revenue for the hotel Prepare, implement and compile data for the strategic sales plan, monthly reports, annual goals, sales and marketing budget, forecasts and other reports as directed/required Work with Operations teams to ensure seamless handover and delivery of group events, corporate stays, and client requirements Perform other duties as assigned Sales Management Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, forecasting, and market positioning. Plan, budget and report goals and performances by market segment Collaborate with Marketing to support campaigns, events, and brand visibility initiatives in key markets. Evaluate and drives the hotel’s participation in various sales channels, market channels, event booking centres, electronic lead channels, etc Updating and owning the sales strategy & sales plan with the Director of Sales Team Management Works with sales and marketing team members to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of these strategies for all segments Set example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients and colleagues, timely response to clients and colleagues Conduct performance review and manages performance issues that arises within the team Constantly monitors team members performance, attitude and degree of professionalism Develop and send informative press releases to targeted lists highlighting activities and promotions Lead the team to drive total hotel revenue and take responsibility for the achievement of budgeted revenue Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in any field preferred Requires advance knowledge of the principles and practices within the sales/marketing/hospitality profession Minimum five years of sales experience in the hotel industry Strong media, presentation and computer skills Proficient in MS Excel, Word, & PowerPoint Additional Information Strong leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills Excellent communication and customer contact skills Results and service oriented with an eye for details Ability to multi-task, able to perform well in stressful & high-pressure situations A team player, motivator & self-starter Well-presented and professionally groomed at all times
