Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a highly motivated Sales Manager to join our team and play a key role in maximising and sustaining margin and royalty income with agricultural seed distributors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong technical expertise and commercial skills who enjoys working in a dynamic industry environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is highly driven to achieve business growth, is technically knowledgeable in agriculture and able to apply this commercially. You should have a strong track record in sales and key account management, strong networking and relationship building abilities with significant experience in the agricultural industry.
This role requires significant business travel both within the UK and Europe with some travel occurring outside of standard working hours.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, agree, and implement clear plans to maximise income from agricultural accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities to achieve ambitious multi-year sales and royalty targets.
  • Build and deliver pricing terms for retail and royalty products in collaboration with the Head of Agriculture and Operations.
  • Design and manage bespoke Key Account Plans for major customers.
  • Collaborate closely with the Head of Agriculture, Crop Managers, and Breeders to ensure plans are both achievable and aligned with the wider business strategy.
  • Maintain a high level of professional knowledge and technical expertise to strengthen industry credibility and influence.
  • Provide commercial insights that enhance product positioning and competitive advantage.
  • Actively participate in sales and marketing activities including open days, conferences, customer briefings, and industry events.
  • Support the Agriculture Department’s profile across social media and other marketing platforms.
  • Develop proficiency in company operating and reporting systems such as Dynamics NAV and Power BI. Ensure accurate reporting and effective use of data to inform decisions.
  • Work proactively with colleagues across different business teams to deliver a customer-centric approach.
