JOB OVERVIEW:

A Sales Manager at Al Packer is responsible for leading the dealership’s vehicle sales team to achieve revenue goals while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction. This position oversees daily sales operations, manages the performance of the sales team, supports F&I efforts, and ensures compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior experience in automotive sales management or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Proficiency with dealership CRM and desking tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with dealership DMS/CRM systems.
  • Ford Manufacturer certification or training in sales management.
  • Multilingual skills a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to sit and move about the showroom and lot for extended periods.
  • Occasional lifting of items up to 25lbs (e.g., signage, promotional materials)

Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales objectives.
  • Oversee all aspects of the sales process, including customer interactions, deal structuring, desking, and final delivery
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics (e.g., closing ratio, gross profit, lead conversion) and provide coaching and accountability
  • Collaborate with the F&I department to ensure smooth deal flow and maximize profitability.
  • Recruit, hire, and train new sales staff, and provide ongoing professional development for the team.
  • Maintain and enforce dealership sales policies, processes, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction scores (CSI) and take action to address customer concerns.
  • Assist with inventory management, including vehicle merchandising and lot presentation.
  • Participate in sales meetings, dealership events, and marketing campaigns.
