The position contributes to regional financial performance through customer engagement, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.     About the Role     The Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth and market development within a defined region or market in Germany for a specific business division. This role focuses on managing customer relationships, executing sales strategies for strategic product categories, and identifying growth opportunities aligned with business objectives. The position contributes to regional financial performance through customer engagement, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.     Responsibilities     Execute regional sales strategies aligned with divisional and corporate objectives. Manage and develop customer relationships within assigned markets and strategic product categories. Identify new business opportunities, market penetration initiatives, and growth potential within the region. Analyze sales performance, market data, and customer trends to support forecasting and planning. Coordinate with internal teams (Sales, Quality, R&D/PLM, Customer Service, and Supply Chain) to ensure effective execution of customer requirements. Support resolution of customer complaints, quality issues, and service challenges in collaboration with relevant functions. Ensure adherence to sales targets, pricing guidelines, budgets, and product strategies. Represent the company professionally with customers and external stakeholders. Provide market and customer insights to support product strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.     Qualifications     Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. Typically 2–5 years of experience in sales or commercial roles, preferably within packaging or manufacturing.     Required Skills     Knowledge of sales strategy and execution within manufacturing or packaging environments. Understanding of packaging product categories (e.g., rigid packaging, dispensing systems, closures, containers). Familiarity with the German and European packaging market and customer requirements. General understanding of regulatory, quality, and sustainability expectations relevant to packaging. Strong client management, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills. Ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix organization. Ability to use data and performance metrics to support decision-making and efficiency improvements.     Preferred Skills     Resolves customer complaints, quality topics, and coordination issues using established processes. Operates within defined sales targets, budgets, and product strategies while adapting approaches to customer and market needs. Develops tailored solutions for strategic growth areas. Makes operational sales decisions independently; escalates pricing, contractual, or strategic decisions for approval. Balances customer satisfaction, cost, growth objectives, and sustainability considerations.
