We are currently recruiting for a Sales Manager – ‘Asphalt to Go’ to join and supportively work with our fantastic Asphalt team across the South East region. As the Sales Manager - ‘Asphalt to Go’ you will have worked in a similar industry in either internal or external sales. This is a key role in our commercial team with responsibility for ensuring delivery of collect asphalt targets alongside associated Ulti™ products. You will work in a cross functional engagement capacity with operational, commercial and marketing teams to drive the best customer experience and financial results with taking a regional lead in relation to differentiating Tarmac’s collect business from our competition with our product range, asset base and technical solutions.

Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

As the Sales Manager - ‘Asphalt to Go’ day to day responsibilities for this role will include (not exhaustive):

  • Working with your commercial colleagues to develop Tarmac’s relationship with targeted Local Authorities and key external contractors to increase sales of high margin VAP & Collect products
  • Targeted VAP promotion and achieve required Customer Account target
  • Implementing Account Portfolio strategy
  • Delivering Financial targets and Value-Added Product targets as set by the Business Unit and Regional management
  • Supporting Major Project Managers in delivery of Regional major/significant bid and tender process
  • Ensuring customer portfolio satisfaction measures are constantly exceeded with a particular emphasis on management of accounts
  • Completing account plans to the continual Tarmac high standard and clearly identify customer development objectives defined to support the senior management team in improving OTIFIC [on time in full invoiced correctly] performance
  • Working with commercial, technical, and operational colleagues to devise and deliver the regional Asphalt 2 Go strategy
  • Managing and ensuring that all commercial target requirements are achieved through an approach aligned to Commercial Excellence expectations and requirements
  • Relationship Management - Building and maintaining relationships with the Distribution Team, Operational Team & Sales Team (Internal & External), customers and colleagues
