As Sales Manager at Eastern and Oriental Express, a Belmond Train, you will be responsible for developing and executing short and long-term sales strategies for the Asia Pacific region, aligning with the organizational vision and commercial objectives of the Eastern and Oriental Express. You will work alongside the Belmond Commercial Office and Private Client Managers in Asia Pacific to achieve KPIs and revenue targets as well as identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities within B2B accounts, corporate entities, and B2C networks to drive revenue growth. Primary Roles and Responsibilities Define and implement the leisure and groups sales strategy within the assigned market as per annual budget ambitions. Manage Trains and Cruises-owned accounts in the Asia Pacific market (ie. DMCs and rail specialists); setting strategy and objectives for each one. Introduce new initiatives to raise awareness of the Eastern and Oriental Express within the assigned market/segment. Represent Trains and Cruises at Belmond Sales Series, overseas trade shows and industry/networking events. Manage the market or segment co-marketing budget and individual budgets Connect regularly with the Director of Sales for Asia Pacific, GM and Heads of Department for Eastern and Oriental Express and ensure product knowledge is kept up to date and adopt a solution-based approach to overcoming any operational challenges with our clients. Proven experience in sales management, preferably within the luxury hospitality, travel, or tourism industry. A strong track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a sales team. Experience in managing performance, setting goals, and providing constructive feedback. Capability to develop and implement effective sales strategies aligned with business objectives. Ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop plans to capitalize on them. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders. Strong understanding of the luxury market, customer preferences, and competitor activities. Knowledge of sales techniques, marketing strategies, and revenue management principles. A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, hospitality management, or a related field is typically preferred. Strong negotiation and closing skills. Excellent presentation and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to travel as required.
