InterContinental Wellington is host to beautiful luxurious rooms and culinary excellence.   InterContinental Wellington is looking for Sales Manager – Conference and Events to join our fantastic team!    Your day to day    Drive revenue and deliver standout experiences! You'll lead all aspects of Conference & Events—from sales strategy to seamless execution. As the go to for MICE key accounts, you will be responsible for overseeing both the pre-group accommodation and conference & events components of the meetings cycle as well as overseeing the implementation and running of conference and events operations.  * Proactively source and convert new C&E business through prospecting, networking, and events. Handle inquiries, proposals, site visits, and contract negotiations.  * Support annual sales strategy with the Director of Sales and meet or exceed all sales targets and KPIs * Collaborate with clients to plan tailored events and coordinate with Operations for seamless execution, including BEOs, menus, AV, and accommodations.  * Maximize revenue through strategic pricing, upselling, and space optimization. Maintain accurate forecasts, pipelines, and CRM records. * Work with Marketing to create campaigns and content. Leverage partnerships to increase visibility and represent the hotel at industry events. * Keep detailed records of sales activities and provide regular performance updates.
