Our client, a long-established and growing business in the construction sector, is seeking an ambitious sales leader to take responsibility for driving new and used machinery sales across their territory. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who knows the excavator and construction machinery market inside out, and who thrives on building customer relationships, developing strategy, and motivating teams to deliver exceptional results.
In this senior role, you’ll be reporting to the Divisional Director while managing a team of sales professionals, setting direction, and shaping the business’s commercial approach to meet ambitious growth targets.
This role would suit an experienced sales manager or head of sales with a proven track record in the construction machinery sector, who is now looking for their next challenge at a leadership level.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, manage, and inspire a team of sales professionals to exceed revenue and performance targets
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies to capture market opportunities and maximise growth
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to key clients
  • Drive sales of new and used excavators and construction machinery, identifying new business opportunities
  • Oversee sales programs, manage staff performance, and resolve customer concerns
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy and stay ahead of the curve
  • Design and deliver training and coaching to upskill the sales team
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure alignment with operational and service goals
  • Take ownership of a small personal sales territory alongside leadership responsibilities
