Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Due to internal promotion, NHP are seeking a dynamic and hands-on Sales Leader who is passionate about taking our Electrical Contractor and Switchboard Builder business to the next level.
As a Sales Manager, you will thrive on motivating and leading a high-performance sales team (9 direct reports) to forge strong, long-term relationships and coach them in identifying, pursuing, and closing new business opportunities with our Electrical Contracting and Switchboard partners.
Bringing with you your commercial flair, market knowledge and natural ability to establish networks, this role will provide you with an opportunity to grow within NHP in a versatile and dynamic role and help develop proactive and strategic sales plans that will increase our ability to identify new opportunities, build rapport, and effectively communicate the value proposition of our products/services.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Co-ordinate and support the team strategies to remain competitive and gain market share whilst remaining profitable.
  • Monitor developments across both Commercial and industrial Sectors.
  • Building & maintaining solid relationships with new and existing key customer partners
  • Understanding our customer’s business needs and how NHP can help drive their success.
  • Provide information to the State Manager regarding the electrical contracting and switchboard builder market across commercial and Industrial verticals and recommend plans to maximise future business.

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about sales and have a strong desire to lead a team to success in a supportive and collaborative style.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE:

  • Strong commercial and networking skills that will enable you to partner with our Electrical Contractor and Switchboard Builder customers in VIC / TAS
  • Proven experience in sales/business development roles, preferably in a related industry
  • Market knowledge, preferably Commercial Construction or Electrical
  • Collaborative, approachable and strong people management skills to effectively lead a team
  • A ‘go getter’ attitude and openness to new ideas
  • Highly effective communication and presentation skills
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives
