The Sales Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, performance, and profitability of the Sales Department. This role drives new and pre-owned vehicle sales, guest satisfaction, and team development by establishing clear expectations, executing disciplined sales processes, and holding the team accountable to performance standards. What You Will Do Lead and manage all aspects of the Sales Department, including new, pre-owned, and internet sales operations. Establish, communicate, and enforce sales processes, performance expectations, and accountability standards. Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share through effective inventory management, pricing strategy, and sales execution. Monitor KPIs such as volume, gross profit, closing ratios, and guest satisfaction. Develop, coach, and hold Sales Managers and Sales Consultants accountable for individual and team performance. Oversee desking and deal structure to ensure profitability, compliance, and alignment with lender and dealership guidelines. Ensure all sales activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company and manufacturer standards. Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and dealership performance data to inform strategy and decision-making. Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retention of top sales talent in partnership with Human Resources. Maintain strong relationships with OEM representatives and ensure adherence to manufacturer programs and objectives. What We Are Looking For Proven leadership experience as a Sales Manager role in an automotive dealership (luxury experience preferred). Proficiency working with CRM systems and dealership management systems, CDK preferred. Demonstrated ability to drive sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction in a high-volume environment. Strong leadership presence with the ability to coach, develop, and hold teams accountable. Deep understanding of dealership sales operations, desking, inventory management, and F&I processes. Strong analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to use data to drive performance. High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to delivering a luxury guest experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record. Commissions are expected to range from $108,000 to $228,000 per year based on performance.
