Responsibilities

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

The Sales Manager Floatmaster is responsible for execution of the company’s sales and marketing plan for the Floatmaster products within the assigned territory. In addition, the Sales Manager identifies and secures new customers, markets requirements for new products, and maintains relationships to achieve sales volume and profitability as established for the territory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define, coordinate, and execute technical sales and marketing support including technical sales presentations, trade shows, customer visits and job site support.
  • Make direct sales calls on inland and coastal marine construction companies, marine contractors, dredging companies and general contractors within the assigned territory.
  • Perform application engineering to configure Floatmaster products into platforms or barge assemblies that meet customer application requirements
  • Draft and transmit technical and commercial sales proposals and expedite customer requests for quotations, orders, and approvals, as required.
  • Maintain accurate contact and sales opportunity database in accordance with standard company sales management procedures. Maintain and expand existing accounts.
  • Provide technical support to customers and interface between customers and Thrustmaster engineering department.
  • Work from office located within the sales territory and perform up to 30-60 percent travel.
  • Prepare and submit timely call reports, itineraries, sales reports, and expense reports.
  • Assist in the establishment of yearly booking forecasts for Floatmaster products and submit territory sales forecasts; meet or exceed yearly booking forecasts for territory.
  • Ensure quality control in accordance with the company ISO-9001:2015 Quality Assurance System (QAS).
  • Maintain a safe work environment in accordance with company HSE standards and procedures.
  • Represent the technical capabilities of the company and its products at customer meetings, trade shows, conferences and seminars.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by manager.
